XPlanet is a wrapper for xplanet for the ROX desktop. Its most useful mode is as a backdrop application.
The basic install procedure is:

ZeroInstall is a way of running programs without the need to install them. If you are a user of ZeroInstall then you can run XPlanet via http://www.kerofin.demon.co.uk/2006/interfaces/XPlanet when using the injector.
