This applet provides mail/no mail notification by its icon and also serves as a launcher for your prefered mail client.
Copy it to ~/Apps, then drag to your panel.
Make sure you have installed the required dependencies first.
ZeroInstall is a way of running programs without the need to install them. If you are a user of ZeroInstall then you can run Mail via http://www.kerofin.demon.co.uk/2005/interfaces/Mail when using the injector.
